Biography Of Invictus Obi

Of late precisely on 16th of August, 2019, world wide news broke the news that a certain invictus obi also known as Obinwanne Okeke was arrested by the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) in the United States for a wire fraud valued at $12 Million after hacking UNATRAC Holding Limited’s Chief Financial Officer (CFO) Office365 account which he accessed 464 times.

Obinwanne Okeke also known as Invictus Obi was born on the 9th November 1987,in Ukpor village, Anambra state, as the 17th child of a polygamous father. Following his father’s death, when he was only 16, he was raised by his mother and other relatives. Obinwanne okeke is a Nigerian businessman and founder of Invictus Group of Companies. In 2016, he was named a Forbes 30 Under 30.

Educational Background And Career

Obinwanne studied International Studies & Forensic Criminology at Monash South Africa and holds a masters degree in International Relations and Counter-Terrorism Studies at Monash University, Australia.

In 2013, Obinwanne founded the Invictus Group of Companies Limited, a real estate firm with headquarters in Nigeria and regional offices in South Africa, Zambia and Botswana.

He also has business interests in real Estates, oil & gas, agriculture, construction and renewable energy. The African Brand Congress awarded the Invictus Group of Companies Ltd

Africa’s Most Innovative Investment Company of the Year 2017 Award.

Obinwanne also founded the Invictus Foundation initiative, a non-profit that mentors and supports young African entrepreneurs.

Obinwanne Okeke founded Literacy Africa International to raise awareness about literacy problem among children in Africa while he was in Australia.

Obinwanne Okeke named his company, Invictus, after one of Nelson Mandela’s favourite poems, written by William Ernest Henley, which talks about the undefeated and unconquerable soul of a hard worker, from an impoverished background.

Awards

In 2016, the Nigerian entrepreneur was named by Forbes as one of ’30 Entrepreneurs Under 30 to Watch’.

In 2017, Obinwanne Okeke has nominated in the Young African Business Leader (West Africa) category for the All Africa Business Leaders Awards ( AABLA).

In 2018, Obinwanne Okeke was listed on Forbes 100 Most Influential Young Africans.

Well for the young wealthy entrepreneur news broke out that he was not as he seems when On August 16, 2019, a worldwide news broke out that alleged young entrepreneur, Obinwanne Okeke was arrested by the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) in the United States for a wire fraud valued at $12 Million after hacking UNATRAC Holding Limited’s Chief Financial Officer (CFO) Office365 account which he accessed 464 times.

Less than a week after the arrest of Invictus Obi over $12 million fraud, the FBI indicted 80 Nigerians suspected to be involved in $46 million wire fraud in the US.
